Privacy Policy

At Grace Community Church we collect different types of information about our users for the following main reasons:

  1. To provide a useful resource in the form of an online directory of users.
  2. To provide an interactive website where email is used to communicate with the users.
  3. To provide a security mechanism whereby we can restrict content to certain groups of users.
  4. To help us to improve the service we offer.

Our principles

We are absolutely committed to protecting your privacy. Our policy can be summarised in one sentence: we will not share your information with others without your consent.

We have established the following two principles:

  1. We will respect your email privacy. You will only receive email from Grace Community Church in relation to areas you have expressly signed up for.
  2. We will not share any individual user details (including your email address) to any third party without your consent.

What information do we collect?

We collect information on our users through registration.

The minimum information we need to register a user is your first and last name and a password. We also ask for some further, voluntary information so we can provide a richer, more useful address book.

Who will have access to your information?

You have control over who is able to access specific items of information. By default your personal information will be visible to other authenticated users of the site. You can change these settings from your personal profile page. Your information will be used to build the online address book and show your birthday in the Grace Community Church calendar.

What else you should know about privacy

This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence if you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place like a library or internet cafe. You as an individual are responsible for the security of, and access to, your own computer.

Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information over the internet that this information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information in publicly accessible online forums, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your usernames and passwords and any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you are using the internet.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

Hello and Welcome to Grace Community Church. We are very excited you have decided to join us, whether it be a passing visit or a frequent visitor. We welcome you all with open arms. Here is all the information you will need when you visit us on Sunday. There is something for all ages so please continue down this page to find out what is best for you.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30 am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. Parking is available outside the church on Grove Street. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who is located near the entrance.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access at the front of the building and comfy seating is available within the church.

Our Service

The main service begins at 10:30 am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of sung worship, led by our worship band. We typically have 2 or 3 songs lasting approximately 20 minutes. Sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a small passage from the bible. Sometimes people share things that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This might seem strange the first time you hear it but it’s all part of our connecting with God.
We then share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. One of our leaders will then give a sermon that is bible-based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We then finish with a final worship song or with a word of encouragement. Sometimes there is an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.

What about my kids?

We believe that children and teenagers are vital to the life of the Church.  Due to our current building project, we are restricted to just our main hall, therefore we have a kids' table set up at the back of the church for all Primary school-aged children.  During the preaching, the children are invited to join us at the table, where we look at Bible stories and have different activities for them to join in with.  There is also room for younger kids to play and move about.  Once the building project is finished we will have a dedicated Sunday school area.  Please bare with us whilst space is limited, this is only a season!

We believe in the power of all generation worship, we all have something to give and learn from each other no matter our age.  With this in mind, we encourage all generations to take part in worship together.

Getting Connected

Stronger
We are part of the AOG UK denomination who has the strapline 'Stronger Together.'  This is a statement we stand upon.  Therefore we have a fortnightly Midweek meeting called, 'Stronger', 8pm on a Thursday evening.  We currently meet in the Church hall AND via zoom, enabling those that struggle to come out in the evenings for whatever reason to still be able to connect together with God and with each other.
