Building Project

In August 2015, having been granted planning permission, we embarked on a major building project to replace our existing facilities.

Our current main building was built in 1928 and the church has always been a part of the local community. Some wooden buildings were added in later years.

We are a growing church with a continuing vision to serve and help our local community. Modern facilities will enable us to continue to meet our existing needs but also provide more opportunity to serve our wider community.

At this stage our intention is to undertake the redevelopment in three phases.

Phase 1A will be to replace the wooden buildings and complete a large part of what will be the downstairs section, including new kitchen and toilet facilities. There will also be a cafe and facilities for community use.

Phase 1B will be to complete the upstairs section of the new community facility.

Phase 2 will be to build a new main hall for Christian worship and other events.

As with any project of this kind finance is the main issue. We need to raise approximately £1m to complete the project. However, there has never been any debt on the current buildings and it is our vision, conviction and hope that any  new facilities will also debt free. We have so far raised over £140,000 mainly through the generous giving of the congregation. We are looking at funding options as well as finding other ways to raise finance.

If you would like to donate to the project then please send any gift to the church using the contact details provided. Anonymous donations can be made via Stewardship Services - follow the link to find out how to do this.

Whether you can give or not we would also ask you to stand with us in prayer for this project.
